Vaishno Devi Yatra halted due to cloudburst in Uttarakhand - unique news
A cloudburst erupted in the middle of heavy rain early Saturday morning inside a village in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun district. The State Disaster Response Workforce (SDRF) rushed to the spot as residents of Sakhet village received details about the cloud burst at 2:45 am. As reported by news company ANI, “SDRF said that every single trapped villager has been rescued, while some have taken shelter in nearby resorts.”

Dehradun, Uttarakhand Local people reported the incident of cloudburst at 2.45 am in Sarkhet village of Raipur block of Dehradun district. SDRF team immediately reached the spot. All of them trapped inside the village were rescued, while some took shelter in nearby resorts: SDRF.

Incessant rains have caused an alarming rise in the water level in the river Tamsa near Tapakeshwar Mahadev Temple in Dehradun. Moreover, due to this harmful scenario, the communication between Mata Vaishno Devi Gufa Yoga Temple and Tapakeswara Mahadev has gone wrong, as reported by ANI and the founding father of Tapakeswara Mahadev Temple. However, till date there has been no loss of life and no reports of damage to any property.
“As a result of incessant rain since yesterday, river Tamsa flowing near the famous Tapakeshwar Mahadev temple in Dehradun has taken a monstrous shape. As a result of this the connection between Mata Vaishno Devi Gufa Yoga Temple and Tapakeswara Mahadev is broken, the pond is also broken. “By God’s grace, there was no dearth of life or property,” ANI quoted temple founder Acharya Bipin Joshi as saying.

Floods have occurred in Katra of Jammu and Kashmir due to continuous heavy rains. The administration has put a hold on the pilgrims’ journey to the Mata Vaishno Devi temple located on the Trikuta Hill.
“The movement of pilgrims from Katra to Vaishno Devi temple has been stopped in view of heavy rains. Priority is given to pilgrims coming down. Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have already been deployed, monitoring the situation. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said that till date no untoward incident has been reported.
